I have developed a ball mount solution that allows you to still retain mechanical adjusters, while giving you the power over how much tension is needed for your mirrors to pivot.

M17 stainless ball joint in an ABS cup. M3 and M2 hardware included.

5mm spring ball detents allow for mirror removal without affecting the angle, or unscrewing the mounts, and stressing the four contact clips on the mirror glass faceplate.
